JGrahamI have been a carer for over 30 years, for last 21 years with Oz Child in Dandenong, providing reception, respite and both short and long term foster care. Most of my placements are short term, although I have had two long term placements. I do a lot of training with Oz Child who provide monthly training sessions and believe this contributes to improving life for the children in my care and assists in helping other carers. I am President of the Oz Child Foster Parents Association.  For the past 20 years I have operated Op Shops with all monies raised going directly to benefit children in care. My husband and I opened the Op Shop in Hampton Park 12 years ago and I have managed this shop since that time.

Our Purpose

 Advocate for foster carers, their families and the children in their care to ensure all
voices are heard;
 Work in partnership with agencies and the sector to provide an improved foster care
system;
 Provide support and learning for carers directly, through various forums, or in
partnership with agencies;
 Build FCAV intelligence in order to be identified as a recognised and viable authority
in the sector;
 Promote the awareness of foster caring to assist in public understanding of the role
and agency recruitment of carers;

Our Vision

To provide information, support and advocacy to carers that ensures they can offer
children and young people in their care a healing environment which assists the child or
