Drama for Everyday Life Program.

We will be presenting a short PD Seminar on “Encouraging Eye Contact Through Role Play and Drama Games”. The Drama for Everyday Life Program assists children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Asperger's Syndrome.

The Drama for Everyday Life Program uses drama games and role plays to teach:

Social Skills – including conversation skills, play skills, greetings and farewells, manners and appropriate use of personal space. 
Relationships – making and maintaining friendships, including appropriate boundaries within friendships. 
Emotions and Body Language – recognising other’s emotions through non-verbal cues and responding appropriately. 
Self Confidence and Self Awareness – expressing self confidence through body language, facial expression and voice.  
Creativity – students are encouraged to develop different solutions to social scenarios.

Our Purpose

 Advocate for foster carers, their families and the children in their care to ensure all
voices are heard;
 Work in partnership with agencies and the sector to provide an improved foster care
system;
 Provide support and learning for carers directly, through various forums, or in
partnership with agencies;
 Build FCAV intelligence in order to be identified as a recognised and viable authority
in the sector;
 Promote the awareness of foster caring to assist in public understanding of the role
and agency recruitment of carers;

Our Vision

To provide information, support and advocacy to carers that ensures they can offer
children and young people in their care a healing environment which assists the child or
young person to reach their full potential.
