The Foster Care Week theme for 2024 is ‘Today’s carers, Tomorrow’s future’ underscoring the future of the foster care system and foster carers’ crucial role in shaping positive futures for children and young people in care.
The Foster Care Association hosts and attends celebrations being held locally around the state to celebrate carers and Foster Care Week – 8 - 14 September 2024
The FCAV will host a calendar of celebrations being held by agencies and ACCOs during Foster Care Week, showcasing a joint THANK YOU to carers around the state, raising awareness and opportunities for engagement by supporters, politicians, media and the community. It is a week to encourage interest in becoming a carer, highlight advocacy needs in the sector and show appreciation to those currently providing care.
