Having worked in the family services sector for over 8 years, Nicole has an in-depth knowledge of the current public sector, driven by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence and Family Services reform Road Map to Reform: Strong Families, Safe Children, and how they contribute to the successful implementation of empowerment for vulnerable families.
Nicole's role also includes recruitment, training, change management with new practise, attending local networking meetings and preparing monthly KPIs reports for her manager. She is a representative on the Diversity and Inclusion committee at Uniting which involves developing a culture that is inclusive for all staff and clients and since 2024 she has been co-Chair of the CALD committee.
Using the Uniting values as the core, Nicole has cultivated a team spirit that promotes collaborative practise through working with external stake holders such as FVIU and Child Protection as well as those within Orange Door to develop a whole- of-family approach. At the moment she is involved in developing and implementing programs to reduce client wait times and ensuring the highest standard of quality for Uniting consumers and stakeholders.
Nicole was born in Mumbai, India and is fluent in Hindi & Marathi. Being from an ethnic background, she is fully cognisant of the mindset, beliefs about life & death, family codes and various dynamics within a multicultural household. She is conscious of the diversity and mindset of people from across the globe.
