FCAV Child Safety Statement of Commitment
The FCAV is proud to present our Child Safety Statement of Commitment, outlining our dedication to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of children across our organisation.
We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, neglect, exploitation, and bullying.
The FCAV is committed to fully complying with the Victorian Child Safe Standards. We ensure that all staff, board members, and volunteers are equipped with the knowledge and awareness to recognise the signs of child abuse or harm, so they can take appropriate action to protect children and prevent further harm.
Staff and Board have completed Child Safe Training in 2024-25 and we have implemented child safe systems of work across the Association including rigorous safety screening and recruitment practices, staff and board induction and awareness of child safety practices, process for identifying and reporting child abuse, risk and gap analysis, communication to our members about Child Safety and fostering a child and culturally safe environment.
