Renee is a corporate lawyer, mother to a little bub and a foster carer. Working at a top-tier law firm, she is accustomed to managing various stakeholders, balancing competing deadlines, and delivering positive outcomes, and is excited to bring these skills to the foster care system. She is particularly passionate about good governance, and sees the importance that strong leadership and direction can bring in enabling for-purpose organisations to flourish.

She is also a committed volunteer at her local church, where she provides mentorship to young adults and opens up her home weekly for opportunities to share a meal, connect and have deep conversations.

Renee was born in Malaysia and migrated to Australia as a teenager. She will bring to the FCAV Board cultural sensitivity, a deep sense of empathy and an understanding of the importance of story-telling in shaping identities and lives.
