We invite you to join Tonya and Jake, Therapeutic Practitioners with the Carer Assistance Program (CAP), and gather with other foster and permanent carers.

This virtual therapeutic session will provide a safe space to meet with other carers and share stories, from your challenges to your successes. We hope to create an opportunity for you to be supported and foster connection and compassion.

We hope you’ll join us!

Session 1 / Exploring Challenging Behaviours and their Impact on Carer Wellbeing

This session will provide an opportunity for conversation regarding children/young people’s challenging behaviours, why these occur, and promote trauma-informed responses. Additionally, we will explore the impact of these behaviours on personal wellbeing, as well as identify and reflect on strategies for coping and managing during times of heightened stress.
