FCAV Carer Celebration & Annual General Meeting

The Foster Care Association of Victoria is so pleased to invite all its foster care members to the upcoming Carer Celebration & Annual General Meeting for Foster Care Week 2026.

Please find herein the Formal Notice of AGM and Board Nomination Form with instructions to nominate for the Directorate of the FCAV Board. Before making a nomination, please consider your capacity to meet the time commitment of Directorship on the FCAV Board. The Board meets monthly in the evenings and undertakes in-person and remote work on time sensitive projects for which Board members may be delegated responsibility.

Event Details

Please join us to celebrate foster carers and their enormous contribution at a sit-down lunch. The Carer Celebration is held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting of the Foster Care Association of Victoria.

11:30am – 1:30pm

The Sofitel, 25 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000

In 2026, the celebration embraces the theme “Open Doors. Open Hearts. Open Opportunities”

Celebrating foster carers who open their homes and hearts, helping children in care feel safe, supported, and connected while creating opportunities for the future.

During the celebration, the FCAV will briefly hold its Annual General Meeting. FCAV full members will be asked to:

  • Accept the 2025 AGM minutes

  • Accept the 2025-26 Annual Report

  • Accept the Auditor’s report & 2025-26 Financial Statements

  • Election Announcement
