Better Futures | Home Stretch Webinar

Planning for the future can feel overwhelming for young people in care — but the right support can make all the difference.

About Better Futures | Home Stretch

Better Futures is a program that supports young people transitioning from care from age 16 up to 21 years of age. It ensures young people have an active voice in decisions about their future and provides the support needed to reach their goals.

The Better Futures team works alongside young people as they plan for life beyond care, offering tailored information, advice and practical support across:

  • Housing

  • Education and training

  • Employment

  • Health and wellbeing

  • Community and cultural connections

Watch the webinar

Access the full recording below to hear directly from the Better Futures team and learn how these programs can support positive, stable transitions into adulthood.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to support your own children as they share their home, parents, and life with fostered children.

  • Strategies to help them thrive and build resilience.

  • The benefits of their role in the fostering journey.
