Special General Meeting of the FCAV 2025

The FCAV Association Rules is a governing document that describes the Association's basic processes and structure – a roadmap for how the FCAV operates and a legal requirement for the FCAV and our members to follow the Rules.  The FCAV Association Rules were last updated in 2017, so a review and update was timely.

A Special General Meeting to amend the FCAV Association Rules was held on 30 April 2025 inviting members to vote on the proposed amendments to the Rules.  The registered voting members unanimously accepted the proposed amendments.

In summary, the main changes are:

  • To allow for a meeting of the FCAV members (including an annual general meeting) to be held wholly or as a hybrid meeting online to provide all members a reasonable opportunity to participate and allow electronic voting.

  • To remove references relating to subscription or joining fees as there are none for FCAV membership.

  • To update the roles of the secretary as some tasks that were listed as responsibilities of the secretary are performed by other organisational staff.
