The Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV) established the Foster Carer Awards to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution of fully accredited foster carers across Victoria.
While every foster carer deserves recognition for the difference they make in the lives of children and young people, these awards provide an opportunity to highlight and honour carers whose dedication, compassion, and commitment have been truly exceptional. Each year, a shortlist of nominees is celebrated, with two recipients selected for special recognition.
The awards aim to showcase the invaluable role foster carers play in providing safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children and young people. By sharing their stories, we hope to raise awareness of foster care, acknowledge the vital contribution carers make to our communities, and inspire greater appreciation for their efforts.
Nominating is simple. If you are a foster carer, work alongside one, or know an accredited foster carer who deserves recognition, we encourage you to submit a nomination. Tell us what makes them exceptional and share examples of the positive impact they have had on the lives of children, young people, and families.
Help us celebrate the remarkable foster carers who make a lasting difference every day and recognise their invaluable contribution to children, young people, and communities across Victoria. Nominations close 14th of August.
Winners will be announced at the FCAV AGM on 18th of September.
