Foster Care Week is an annual event which celebrates and raises awareness about foster care and the wonderful people providing care to the children and young people of Victoria who need them.

The events and celebrations held during foster care week aim to highlight and appreciate our valuable pool of foster carers and the contribution they make to the lives of vulnerable children and young people in our community.

This year's theme for Foster Care Week: Open Doors. Open Hearts. Open Opportunities.

Celebrating foster carers who open their homes and hearts, helping children in care feel safe, supported, and connected while creating opportunities for the future.

Foster care is a vital community service, giving children who come into care, safe and loving homes. This week, we say thank you to the incredible carers who open their doors, open their hearts, and create opportunities for children to feel supported, safe, and valued.
